Did any of the 4.000 luxury cars survive, or were they all trashed? 188.150.64.57 (talk) 11:12, 24 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Locations[edit]

At present the article has several references to the position where the fire broke out, where the ship finally sank, and maybe some time point in between. But they are not consistent. The earliest source found, dated 17/2, quotes the Portuguese navy's report that the fire broke out the day before "170 km south-west of Faial", which is quite different to the New York Times' "about 200 miles from Terceira Island", even though the measuring points are different

Are there more definitive sources, or references showing the track subsequent to the outbreak? Davidships (talk) 13:26, 30 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The fire broke out 90 miles west of Faial and drifted out of the 200 miles zone… it was never near Terceira. Maritime contultant (talk) 17:08, 19 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
