They are just different spellings of the same name JDDJS (talk) 14:40, 21 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose as there is sufficient content to justify separate pages, i.e. the lists of names are long enough for both to be worthwhile. We normally only merge variant spellings where there are few notable examples, or where the name is so common that it is not appropriate to have a list at all. – Fayenatic London 20:56, 21 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose Many given names could be said to fall into this area. As said there is enough critical mass in both lists to justify their continuance as distinct features. S a g a C i t y (talk) 22:33, 21 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Semi-agree + semi-oppose: I agree, that the explanation of the names Euan, Ewan and Ewen could very good be all in the same article. But the person-DAB part should not be put together, much more the Ewan + Euan person lists should be separated, too:
  • Observation (not a vote) What of the related Eógan and Iwan (name)? If we start putting names together because they are variations we are on a long and slippery slope S a g a C i t y (talk)
