Check before resubmitting[edit]

Taking the liberty of pinging @S0091. Thanks for your time on checking this article. I have tried to improve the documentation of relevance by adding more secondary sources. I'll try go for WP:THREE and mention three best sources:

  • The fact that the EU uses EURING data to monitor Avian influenza patterns: https://www.efsa.europa.eu/nl/news/avian-influenza-efsa-recommends-increased-protection-farms-wild-birds
  • The article on EURING in the book A dictionary of Birds: Campbell, B. and Lack, E., ed. (1985). A Dictionary of Birds. Calton & Vermillion. ISBN 9780856610394.
  • The article by Seber and Schwarts in the Journal of Applied Statistics that shows the difference before and after the introduction of the EURING code: Seber, George A. F.; Schwarz, Carl J. (2002). "Capture-recapture: Before and after EURING 2000". Journal of Applied Statistics. 29 (1–4): 5–18. doi:10.1080/02664760120108700. S2CID 33273852.

Original research and primary sources[edit]

I have replaced the number of results from Google Scholar with examples of usages referenced by peer reviewed publications, all secondary sources.

@S0091 Do you agree we're good to remove the original research warning and template?

As for primary sources, except for the references to EURING's self-published exchange code versions, the references are secondary. I'd appreciate some input there as well. Dyve (talk) 06:49, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Dyve if you believe the issues are largely addressed, you are welcome to remove the tags. At a glance, it looks ok to me. S0091 (talk) 18:35, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
