Need someone with some botanical knowledge to add to this article, I have started it with what I know from a cabinet-makers point of view. Somebody added a tag to the effect that it was

not written in the formal tone expected of an encyclopedia article

Colour[edit]

Could someone explain the difference between "light brown" and "pale brown"? Surely they are synonymous in general usage - so saying one type of wood is one and another type the other is rather unenlightening? Scyrene (talk) 22:30, 7 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
