GI Bill[edit]

The opening sentence, declaring that all minorities were eligible for the G.I. bill on the basis of "equality", carries and implication in direct opposition to the reality of how Jim Crow laws interacted with them: African_Americans_and_the_G.I._Bill 2601:646:400:80C9:910E:137D:BB21:2E8 (talk) 02:12, 8 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Untitled[edit]

The use of the word "Negro" in this page should really be edited to "Black" or "African American".cbustapeck 20:32, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Article problems[edit]

Apart from original research and lack of a lead section and adequate inline references, it defines "ethnic" minorities narrowly as only referring to Hispanic-Americans and blacks. I think this article can be significantly expanded in scope. Coretheapple (talk) 17:17, 1 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ik this is late but I agree I will see if I can edit that Kilo27165 (talk) 01:26, 7 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Is it necessary to use 1940s terms for races[edit]

Ik Negro was 1940s term but I think it could still be offensive to people today Kilo27165 (talk) 01:35, 7 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Should we really be using racial terms from the 1940s[edit]

I don’t think we should be using terms such as negro seeing as it could be offensive to some readers Kilo27165 (talk) 01:39, 7 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
