Suggest that the citation is wrong and that there is only one Act (namely 11 Geo.2 c.38)[edit]

If the citation of this Act was correct (i.e. if it was passed in 21st regnal year of George II), it would have been passed in 1747, not 1737. Further, the Chronological Table of the Statutes (HMSO) does not list any chapter 38 of 21 Geo.2.

That book does list 11 Geo.2 c.38 and it confirms that it was to do with the "estate of Hugh Naish". That Act actually was passed in 1737 (and not ten years later as the article seems to claim).

I suggest that:

1 this Act ought to be cited as 11 Geo.2 c.38,

2 that there may be not be a separate private Act, and

3 if there is a private Act, it has not been cited correctly and has been given the citation of the public Act (if it is a public Act) by mistake.

Any comments? James500 (talk) 16:45, 27 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like a minor typo by the editor that started the article. Be bold. :) Road Wizard (talk) 18:34, 27 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I think I may have found the solution. The second act was 21 Geo. II c. 20 (1747). See Chronological Table of the Private and Personal Acts. Road Wizard (talk) 18:58, 27 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have corrected the citations of both the public Act and the private Act. I have not checked the details of the content, etc of the Acts.James500 (talk) 14:39, 29 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
