Not Hesperocyonid[edit]

In researching the classification of Enhydrocyon @ PaleoDB[1] it shows no association with Hesperocyon. The authority used within this article, X. Wang, is also a contributing researcher for the PaleoDB.Noles1984 (talk) 22:28, 7 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

In Dogs: Their Fossil Relatives & Evolutionary History, also by X. Wang, unequivocally states that Enhydrocyon is a hesperocyonid.--Mr Fink (talk) 02:11, 8 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Furthermore, I find PaleoDB rather questionable as a source, given as how the list of "sister genera" not only includes Hesperocyon, but also a random grab bag of random canid genera.--Mr Fink (talk) 02:14, 8 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
