Untitled[edit]

Dear visionwriter, I enjoyed this entry, and am very interested in the topic - in fact, I'm currently working on a project on the relationship between energy and imperialism in the late 19th century. I'm wondering if you wouldn't mind passing along a few references - economists, scientists, or theorists who talk about energy in these terms. Web searches bring up discussions of how our civilization is enslaved by its addiction to energy, which is true, and interesting, but not quite the same thing as what you're discussing. Anyway, any help you could provide would be most appreciated. Best wishes, John P.M. --140.247.48.209 01:33, 10 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This article needs to be linked with the concept of embedded energy or emergy. Ecologists since Howard and Eugene Odum have been exploring similar concepts. It also needs to be linked to the related concept of ecological footprint analysis. John D. Croft 03:11, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No reference to Buckminster Fuller? Did he not coin this term long ago? 99.35.14.94 (talk) 07:12, 26 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
