Merge proposal[edit]

I propose to merge Oil and energy resources of Saudi Arabia into this article and rename in Energy in Saudi Arabia. Currently there are duplications and both articles need a lot of work. Merging will create a more comprehensive article. Beagel (talk) 15:07, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Merge proposal[edit]

I propose to merge Saudi Arabian oil into this article as there is some overlapping. The article is mainly about the history of Saudi Arabian oil industry but also includes current production and reserves information. Also the title Saudi Arabian oil is not the best one and associates more with the current oil industry. Beagel (talk) 19:42, 13 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Confusion between sorts of energy[edit]

In section 1, "fastest growing electricity consumer ... particularly of transportation fuels" seems to be a confusion between energy and electricity.

Also in section 1, "over 60% from oil, the remainder from natural gas" is not consistent with the figures later, and doesn't mention solar.

In section 1.1, "65% from oil, 27% from natural gas, 8% from steam" implies that oil-fired generation does not use steam. Diesel generators do exist, but large power stations tend to use steam, so this is misleading. Also, what is the primary energy for the steam that's not oil or gas?

If I do manage to obtain the information I came here to find, I'll try and do some of these edits...
