The period on the vestry for MM Barbey & Bates may be exaggerated. 31 & 38 years is from 1875 (merger of the churches) to their respective deaths. e.g. Register of Burial gives Barbey legally resident in New York at the time of his death.

Stained glass[edit]

It's not just the stained glass windows that are worthy of interest: There is an inverted pentagram on the pediment of the church, in the rose window, usually little integrated into the christian imagery....there is no cross on this church on the outside....apart from an inverted cross above the entrance porch....beneath the inverted pentagram... It makes the whole Geneva keen on occultism gossip... And what about the large parish hall above the library... there are three lights with 6 lamps each (6.6.6.) in the shape of crossed compasses and squares and if that were not enough, three pyramids made of cables surmount these three lights. Usually this is enough to qualify it as Masonic symbolism.... Should it be mentioned in the article?

The Pentagram has been used by many religions. See the Christian use here: Pentagram#Middle_Ages, see Amiens Cathedral. (One day I'll add photos of the other windows).

In this area, Protestant Churches tend not to have crosses on the exterior (unlike Roman Catholic ones) - maybe the result of strong Calvinism? I find it hard to believe that the supports for the porch roof were intended to be an inverted cross. Do you have evidence?

Similarly, do you have any evidence about the significance of the lights in the Parish Hall(s)? Frankly this looks like the tendency to look for patterns where there are none, (e.g. the pyramid on Mars). And 666?
