Belgium[edit]

Please do not put the Belgium chart back in as Under The Sheets has not charted in the official Belgium charts (Ultratop 40) - it has only charted in the tip chart. The tip chart peak position (of 3) may only be displayed in the Under The Sheets article and not Ellie Goulding discography. Thank You Jagoperson (talk) 12:57, 4 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Ellie Goulding discography[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Ellie Goulding discography's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "bel":

  • From Heartbeats (song): José González - Heartbeats Ultratop. Retrieved 2010-06-19.
  • From Lights (Ellie Goulding album): "Ellie Goulding – Lights" (in Dutch). Ultratop. Hung Medien. Retrieved 1 February 2011.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 00:21, 13 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Change in Countries?[edit]

I was wondering if the current ten countries are the best representations of Ellie's success in her discography? For one, I would support switching out France with another country/region, such as Scotland, Finland, or Norway, because they have shown a lot of support for her in recent songs. Let me know what you think! :) TDI19 (talk) 02:25, 9 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Adding Scotland to a discography page seems pointless since it's part of the UK. Neither of Ellie's albums has charted in Finland, only two singles, and we have to use the same countries/charts for both albums and singles. Adding Norway wouldn't be a bad idea, but France is the bigger market, and Ellie has had more singles chart there than in Norway. SnapSnap 18:55, 29 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, that makes sense! I would be interested in seeing how Burn performs in France, before potentially thinking about replacing it with Norway. TDI19 (talk) 18:29, 3 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Flashlight[edit]

http://www.digitalspy.com/music/news/a550045/ellie-goulding-dj-fresh-for-new-single.html?rss

According to this article, an updated version of Flashlight will be released as DJ Fresh's next single... would this be treated like I Need Your Love for this page? Or as lead artist? Because on Halcyon Days it is billed as Flashlight by Ellie Goulding & DJ Fresh. TDI19 (talk) 23:12, 10 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Songwriter[edit]

IPs have been very annoying lately by removing, without valid reason, the songwriter part of this article and Love Me like You Do, and as a result I am asking from the community and involved editors to reach a consensus whether it should remain or not. Goulding is credited in almost every song she recorded for its composition. HJ Mitchell (not sure if they should be pinged, if they should please do it for me) an admin declined a page protection under the grounds of content dispute and suggested discussion. They also said that it fails singer-songwriter's definition. However, many trusted sources and magazines deem her as a songwriter, including her personal website. Sources: official website, billboard, Independent, People's Choice, Newsletter, UK Cosmopolitan, MTV, Hollywood Reporter, CNN and so on. Taylor Swift co-writes her own songs (I don't ever recall her writing for someone else) and yet she is credited as a songwriter. Outside and I Need Your Love were popular (based on charts), and possibly Burn (based on charts). Should songwriter be included or not? Callmemirela (Talk) 18:28, 5 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Personally, I think the "songwriter" bit should stay unless someone comes up with a valid reason not to include it—which I don't think there is, to be honest, as Ellie has co-written most of her songs. As for the singer-songwriter definition, is there any actual difference between "singer-songwriter" and "singer and songwriter"? snαp snαp (talk) 00:40, 6 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I don't personally think there is a difference between the two. Callmemirela (Talk) 01:28, 6 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

List of songs recorded by Ellie Goulding article[edit]

Should the List of songs recorded by Ellie Goulding article should be noted as a "See also" on this page, as well as linked to on the Ellie Goulding page under discography? -Melodies1917 (talk) 15:19, 24 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

32 singles?[edit]

Why does the summary say that she has 32 singles so far when in the discography, she only has 27? And if the featured singles count, the total is 35 so that also doesn't add up. Gnrioeolts (talk) 09:24, 29 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
