Requested move 21 March 2018[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: consensus not to move the pages as proposed at this time, per the discussion below. There appears to be support for a merge; that can be pursued further, but isn't something to be performed as part of a close. Dekimasuよ! 18:56, 27 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

– This is an extremely confusing situation, and I was hoping people would have some ideas on how to make this clearer. The authors Dannay and Lee wrote most of their books under the pseudonym Ellery Queen. The confusing part is, a series of other authors also used the exact same name. I was hoping that people here might have some good suggestions on how to make the titles less confusing. I'm open to any and all suggestions. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 05:11, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment Support something re first (house name), is opaque, there should be a better alternative. At the moment the above looks better than current situation. However leaning to oppose on second that seems to be the primary topic. Ellery Queen could be a primary redirect to Ellery Queen (Dannay and Lee) but could be left where it is. • Merge Ellery Queen (house name) to Ellery Queen. I see no need whatsoever for two separate articles. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:30, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose the second move and support a merge per User:Necrothesp. Deal with the authors, the character and the house/ghostwriters all in one place. —  AjaxSmack  15:45, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge as above two editors. In ictu oculi (talk) 21:14, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
