Date of manufacture?[edit]

The beginning of the article says 1983 to 1991, and the end of the article says 1985 to 1993. Which is it?

Link to an online MK-61 emulator written in JavaScript[edit]

While the emulator looks good, the author clearly doesn't want his work to be linked from Wikipedia pages. Accessing his web page from Russian Wikipedia article resulted in an alert box with an abusive message towards Wikipedia users. Please see the Russian Wikipedia pages for details:

I disagree. The summary of the edit in which an IP removed the link to the emulator says the link violates copyright, which is a nonsensical statement, given that Wikipedia does not copy the page but merely links to it, and the page itself is readily accessible to anyone (it's not behind any paywalls or has any other access restrictions, as far as I can tell). The message on the talk page asks why the link was removed, not why it was added. It seems to me that if the author does not intend the emulator to be publicly accessible, they can simply restrict access to the page. An administrator of the Russian Wikipedia, El-chupanebrej, has cleaned most of the controversial stuff, so my statement doesn't make much sense any more. Please do following experiment - put the link from the English Wikipedia (which I have removed) to the Sandbox on the Russian Wikipedia, then use it to visit the questionable site. Yes, the message is shown only when the page is referred from the Russian Wikipedia, but this may change, as the insulting messages already have. As for me, feel free to restore the link, but... Someone hiding behind an IP number has tried to circumvent this blockage by copying the script elsewhere and consequently was accused of copyright violation by the author, with rude words. While I think the the page owner's behavior is downright childish, I'm perfectly willing to wait for additional comments before restoring the link. That's the best emulator I've seen by far, by the way, and it seems that it works so well because the page owner had an exact copy of the calculator's ROM. This makes me wonder if the page owner himself is in compliance with the copyright laws, and if he's not, then perhaps we indeed shouldn't be linking to that page. His program is merely a late JavaScript port of other people work. The calculator was reverse engineered by Felix Lazariev who also wrote the first true emulator emu145. Other ones were written by Eugene Troitskiy calculator3000 and by Andrey Grabov mk52emu (both cooperated with Felix). Some more links: ZX forum, Club of calculator fans. "Википедики — пиздючие нерусские выблядки и опущенные хуесосы", what is it? No messages appear (at the very least a link from the English Wiki). About copyrights too, no nothing.
