The account 85.148.67.160[edit]

This account (85.148.67.160) is doing repetitive sabotage. --Ghabila (talk) 08:44, 29 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Summary section consists of advertisment[edit]

Mentioning "five-star resort complex of Mazagan" in the first section looks like an advertisment activity, not a summary of important infos about the city. This should be deleted, or at least moved to the body of the article (it's not there, why?). Jurand~plwiki (talk) 07:49, 6 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed, it may be a sincere description of major businesses in the city, and I'm sure it's true that it's a holiday town for Moroccans, but it reads like a tourism ad and it's unsourced, so not for Wikipedia. I've removed that whole stretch for now. It's hard to find sources online that aren't just commercial websites, but there's surely some reliable sources we can cite about the city's economy. Follow-up: after a quick search I found a reasonably reliable source with some relevant information here (p.128 and after). It also mentions the 2009 opening of a "Mazagan Beach Resort" (presumably the "five-star resort complex of Mazagan" the lead text referred to), but as it turns out this resort is located next to Azemmour (a nearby city), rather than actually in El Jadida, so not sure that it really needs mentioning here in place of other local businesses, but maybe relevant in the long term with a more developped section on economy/tourism.
