Untitled[edit]

Is the TV series the primary meaning of "Edward the Seventh". Surely the king himself should be? PatGallacher (talk) 19:37, 21 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Late reply - you will notice that there is a hatnote at the top of this article linking to the kings wikiarticle. That article follows WikiP's naming convention guidelines so it is unlikely that its title will ever be changed to where it conflicts with this article. Cigar[edit]

So, if this article is about the TV series, and the hatnote points at the king, where do I go to read about the cigar? That's what I came here for. 74.131.53.1 (talk) 13:27, 26 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

There is no article for the cigar. The closed it comes to any mention on WikiP is this list List of cigar brands. If an article ever is created then we can add another hatnote to this page or start a dismbig page but IMO there is no need to do either at this time. MarnetteD | Talk
Thanks! Incidentally, I'm a little surprised that the cigar doesn't have its own article (given the brand's own ubiquity and the ubiquity of Wikipedia articles about consumer products), but I'll agree that I don't feel like it's really necessary either. 74.131.53.1 (talk) 19:31, 29 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dagmar/Minnie/Empress Dowager[edit]

Remember watching this as a boy, and saw it all again on YouTube in 2015. I remember noticing the girl from "Only Fools and Horses" ("What else was she in? Oh that's who it is!") and looking up that she was somebody called "Dagmar". Another book I'm reading at the moment informs me that she was engaged to the older brother of the future Alexander III before he died, so she then married the latter (Catherine of Aragon style). She thus became Empress of Russia, then Empress Dowager after 1894, and was then the one rescued on HMS Marlborough after the Revolution. So, to come to the point, I reckon Gwyneth Strong and Jean Lapotaire are playing the same person at different stages of life.

Feel free to correct if I'm wrong. I confess I get all these lesser royals muddled up ... Paulturtle (talk) 10:00, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
