Edward Charles HEMSTED[edit]

My name is REINALDO FIGUEREDO, I am a Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela. I met ECHemsted in 1960 in London, with my wife when preparing the Gertificate of Education and EGH guided me in preparing my exams. At the time he had lost his voice, but we became close friends and he told us of what he did in Tokyo, as English tutor to the son of the Emperor, today the actual Emperor, About China and India. In this country he managed to produce a special anticonceptive - a sort of diluted piece of cloth to be introduced in the vagina, - and he was trying to introduce it in England buf Courtaud prevented him to do so, He provide me a sample, an d as he felt he would not be able to introduced it asked me to find a way to do so. In fact he encourage me to attend his Oxford Univerty , and I went for one day to Oxford, but when I learnt that on the first year I had to stay without my wife at the college, it was out of the question for me todo so.
