Untitled[edit]

Does anyone know how long it takes a baby Eastern Screech to reach adult size. We have a nesting pair in our backyard and my daughter is sure she has seen one of the offspring but it was almost as big as the parents? We know they usually hatch offspring in May.

Pop culture[edit]

Wasn't a screech owl featured prominently in the movie My Cousin Vinny? It was that scene where they're out in the woods thinking they might actually get some sleep, when instead an owl kept them up with its screeching. We should work that into this article somehow. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mblumber (talkcontribs) 03:16, 16 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sound[edit]

Need a reference to and description of (and if available, an audio of) its call and why it is so named. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Softlavender (talkcontribs) 09:47, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
