Role of EPF in protecting embryo[edit]

Given half of the embryo's genetic material comes from the dad, it should be marked as a foreign body, but it's not attacked by the mother. Some books say the reason is EPF, and some say the mother shifts from cell-mediated to humoral immunity, I wonder if EPF is less of an immunosuppressant and more of an immunity-shift agent. 169.159.113.66 (talk) 20:36, 20 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
