Why George Hamilton single?[edit]

Why is the single by George Hamilton featured in the box? It's just one version of the song - the composer's original should be featured. Otherwise - why not the very first released version by the Canadian couple? --184.71.189.154 (talk) 16:11, 15 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that the George Hamilton feature should be removed. I’m not so sure that there needs to be a replacement. For me the Peter, Paul & Mary version is more notable (and peerless IMO) but others might disagree. Boscaswell talk 22:33, 17 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I also agree - I think a good argument could be made that if PPM had not recorded it, it would not be as well known. In fact, until I came to this page I had no idea the George Hamilton was a singer let alone recorded this version! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Adel314 (talkcontribs) 08:37, 18 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

"Runway number nine?[edit]

One line in the song refers to runway number nine ("Out on runway number nine Big seven o seven set to go"). Does LAX have 9 runways?
