Information about Speight's second wife[edit]

The citation for the second wife Hide Ohira, and the child Ronald is in Japanese, and I cannot translate it. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 20:23, 2 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Wikiproject Japan editors have translated the reference alleged to be for Speight's "third" marriage, and determined that it refers to no personal life details, and have thus reverted the edit. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 19:44, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Adding to Bibliography[edit]

Please, when you add to (eg) the bibliography, make sure that the edition is cited correctly such that it is obvious from the citations that Speight had a real involvement in the work. If necessary add a note to the bibliography item as a citation. It is not what you know about the man that is important, it is what you can cite. Wikipedia has readers of all types, and we need to cite for the least well educated of them as well as the best educated. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 20:10, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am a son of Ronald[edit]

While in Japan E. E. Speight had a common-law wife Hide Ohira (1886-1960) and they had a son, Naruto "Ronald" Ohira (大平成人, 1923-2006). Naruto was the president of the Japanese National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Prevention.Mahito Ohira (talk) 21:55, 20 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
