Pronunciation[edit]

This blog comment suggests that there are two ways of pronouncing "Duston" locally. Can anyone shed any light? IPA would be much appreciated, and a source would be good before information about this is added to the article. Thanks. Old Man of Storr (talk) 06:12, 5 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think it is pronounced "Dust" (as in the word "Dust") "-on". Vorbee (talk) 08:26, 7 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Surrounded by all sides[edit]

This article says Duston is surrounded by Northampton, but I thought it was a village just to the west of Northampton. Vorbee (talk) 08:28, 7 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It is attached to Northampton and is part of the Borough. There is open country on the west and arguably the north sides.Spinney Hill (talk) 08:33, 7 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

New and Old Duston[edit]

This article does not refer to distinctions between Old and New Duston until the section on governance, but I think it could be improved if this section were mentioned earlier. Vorbee (talk) 08:37, 7 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
