No papers on it?[edit]
In the references i only see 'news' sources, no papers or technical journals or such. That is a bad thing. Liverpool university and/or Hull university might be places to look. this may be a paper, seen Bernie Binks quoted, maybe some of those papers are about dry water.(but under different name.) Ice Nine[edit]
The link Ice Nine in the "See Also" section links to a fictional substance. I suspect the link was actually meant to go to the real-existing Ice IX. If so, it should be changed. Sand Size[edit]
It says that dry water is the size of a grain of sand, but sand grain size varies. I get that it means small but, is the size of a sand grain a valid comparison? Perhaps if it said an actual size also I would be happy. NanoTechAdvancement (talk) 19:28, 28 March 2016 (UTC)

What is the effective water density once a sample has been converted to this dry form?
just water -> 100% water mixed with silica -> ? % water after conversion/wrapping with silica -> ? %

The existing sources are mostly missing or not scientific at all. The idea that it was 'snatched up' by the cosmetic industry and the lost until being recently rediscovered seems to be invented in 2010 by sciencedaily to sexy up their article.
