British Army[edit]

Although the Drum Major has a variable substantiative rank, until the 1970s the appointment was generally considered one of the more senior warrant officers of the unit. I have consequently added the British Army Specialisms Category. Consideration should also be made of references to Pipe Major in Scottish Regiments, Trumpet Major in Light Infantry units, and the like.

Merge proposal for Drum major (military)[edit]

Upon reading the articles Drum major and Drum major (military), I believe and propose that the two articles be merged into one article as there is no difference between the information.
