Controversy[edit]
Samuel Sackey Quarcoopome of the Institute of African Studies describes the "Battle of Katamanso" but it is often seen as part of the First Anglo-Ashanti War. Numo Notse Amartey has expressed the view that this war was essentially Ga versus Asante war, and that it is subsequent British history which has assimilated this into the series of Anglo-Ashanti wars. I would apprecaite other peoples input into what is quite a controversial issue., as can seen from SIMPLE LIES & COMPLEX TRUTHS 1 and 2. Clearly quite different views have come about here, and I would be interested in other Wikimedians views on how to develop an article about this battle. Leutha (talk) 15:42, 17 July 2016 (UTC)
