Residential Use?[edit]

Diazinon is still used (in the UK) in some flea collars for domestic pets. Does this need sourcing to be added? Dan Beale 13:49, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Verify Chemical Diagrams[edit]

The 3-D png and Fisher diagram do not appear to match. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.66.147.217 (talk) 22:33, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

agreed. I've removed the offending structure.Yilloslime (t) 22:45, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Jargon?[edit]

Structure and Reactivity section, first paragraph, uses terms that read poorly as English and might be jargon. ("Mechanism"? "Novel mechanism"? Should be clarified in some way if this is so.

Also "degenerated" & a few other (minor) awkward constructions. I am not familiar with the use of "degenerate" as a verb for degrade, detoxify or whatever; possibly it is jargon -- I'll check the sources -- but in any case it strikes me as awkward at best. I'll dig further & clean up.  Done --D Anthony Patriarche (talk) 12:17, 29 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
"Novel mechanism" seems to have been fixed. "Metabolism and mechanism of action" strikes me as OK. "Mechanism of toxicity" is a bit jargon-y, will consider replacing with a commoner term. --D Anthony Patriarche (talk) 22:09, 30 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
After searching, "Mechanism of toxicity" seems to be common usage, so stet. --D Anthony Patriarche (talk) 01:03, 31 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Metabolism and mechanism of action[edit]

Did a cleanup of this section, spelling, usage (including the above "degenerated"), wikilinks &c. Removed "very effective" & "at a much slower rate" (re diazoxon metabolism), doesn't say what is very effective and slower than what; I was unable to find suitable refs for diazoxon metabolism & half-life (may be in broken external link Chemical Fact Sheet). --D Anthony Patriarche (talk) 01:00, 31 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
