Bridge deck is not necessarely part of a ship[edit]

Deck (bridge) is needed because all the articles linked to it are bridges, not ships, Therefore any redirect to Deck (ship)#Common names for decks is meaningless. Hence a temporary stub is in order, and some expert can expand it. Hoever, if Second Narrows Bridge, etc. can be linked directly to wiktionary instead of to Deck (bridge) that would be OK. But the previous redirec(s) to Deck (ship) were nonsense. Peter Horn 02:03, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed name change to Bridge deck[edit]

I think that a better name for this article would be bridge deck as opposed to Deck (bridge). In general I believe people refer it to as bridge deck more then just a deck. Note that the lead already has the name bridge deck in it. Let me know if there are any objections. XFEM Skier (talk) 06:07, 18 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
