1977 letter about homosexuals teaching in schools[edit]

I'm not sure it makes sense to end the article by mentioning the fact that in 1977, Gauthier wrote a letter to a newspaper arguing that homosexuals should not be allowed to teach in schools. Such views were quite common back in 1977. Is there any evidence that he still adheres to such views, and is there any evidence that he has been involved in opposing gay rights beyond the publication of a single letter that he wrote almost forty years ago? If the answer to both questions is no, I recommend that the sentence in question be deleted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.56.13.152 (talk) 08:20, 11 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The material in question is better cited than most material in the article. Why single it out for attention? You might as well ask whether there is any evidence that Gauthier still adheres to any of his other views as described in the article. FreeKnowledgeCreator (talk) 20:45, 11 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
