Devon Belle Observation Coach - Pictures required[edit]

It would be really helpful if someone can provide one or more pictures of the observation coach. While they would be appropriate on this page, of course, the lack of such pictures is very obvious in the Devon Belle article. (Thanks, in advance.)

Removed |closed = 1892 from infobox[edit]

I've removed |closed = 1892 from the infobox. I'm a bit stumped what should go here, and the documentation on the Heritage Railway infobox is less than helpful. But saying the line closed in 1892 and then saying it was preserved in 1972, thus implying the line was out of use for 80 years, is downright misleading. Better IMHO not to say anything. -- Starbois (talk) 11:25, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It was offically "closed" in 1972. The trick for other dates is to use com-years and com-events parameters - you can have several, just add the number 1, 2, etc. afterwards with no space. Geof Sheppard (talk) 08:21, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Article name[edit]

User:SilkTork has renamed Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway to Paignton & Dartmouth Steam Railway claiming this to be the correct name. As I read it they are both the correct name, however WP:& states that the word "and" is preferable and so I feel this move should be revertd Geof Sheppard (talk) 12:54, 27 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The ofical website for this line currently calls it the 'Dartmouth Steam Railway and Riverboat Company',so why has this page now been renamed just the 'Dartmouth Railway'? Geof Sheppard (talk) 12:47, 18 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

National Rail?[edit]

Why are railway stations that are part of the Dartmouth Steam Railway show as being part of National Rail on Google Maps?--95.145.91.231 (talk) 17:21, 9 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have a link for that? Britmax (talk) 19:18, 9 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I have just looked at the Swanage Railway and other heritage lines, and it looks as though whoever drew the map for some of them thought that the old double arrow BR sign was used for all stations. Or that the heritage stations marked that way were still on the network. Difficult to tell. Britmax (talk) 15:19, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Lydham Manor should be repainted into its original Great Western Livery.[edit]

Will Lydham Manor be painted back into its original fully Great Western 1920's Livery to carry once again since 1972 for being restored. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.224.196.14 (talk) 16:18, 14 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect information[edit]

6412 was never based at the DSR, 6435 was based and named "Ajax" it was sold to the Bodmin & Wenford Railway in 2009 due to not being powerful enough for the trains required. 176.26.206.142 (talk) 16:47, 13 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Source(s)? Without anything to support that there's not a lot we can do. Mattdaviesfsic (talk) 17:45, 13 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
6412 was on the line according to reliable sources which are cited in the article. Geof Sheppard (talk) 12:51, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
