Grammar Issues

I just rewrote the first paragraph of the "Acting" section. The writing needed improvement: it was chock-full of run-on sentences, lacked commas, and various other grammatical errors that, maybe, could have been ignored, were this not an encyclopedia. I hope there are no objections to what I did. Feel free to make any further necessary edits, of course. Cheers, "Yes...It's Raining" 03:37, 22 November 2010 (UTC)

Should he be x-ref'd under "Italian-Americans"? Guido LoSacco —Preceding unsigned comment added by 152.121.19.11 (talk) 18:50, 21 March 2010 (UTC)

I oppose the merge. I am the one that broke the double redirect on Danny's page that had a wiki link to Gretchen Bonaduce but it redirected back to Danny. Currently, Gretchen has 3 paragraphs and Danny has 6; There is enough information pertinent to Gretchen having nothing to do with Danny. People are adding information to her page that might not want to add it to Dannys page [1]. This probably would not have been added if the pages were merged (at the time) with Danny's page. --Supercoop 14:44, 1 December 2005 (UTC)

I agree, there's more than enough information on her to have her own. If noone can find any than don't have a page at all, this is about Danny Bonaduce and his life, his wife's life is completing different. Leethal

Are he and Gretchen divorced? The page lists Jaclyn Bradley as his girlfriend. Also, how is she notable enough to have her own page but not Gretchen Bonaduce?--Twintone 19:40, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

Legal troubles

Why does this entry not mention any of Mr. Bonaduce's legal troubles stemming from an assault charge in Phoenix, AZ? There is not any mention of his time as a radio DJ in Phoenix either. This omission of public records appears questionable.

Agreed. Yes, he's a C-lister, but surely his interesting life and many widely-publicized flameouts earn him at least as detailed an article as, say, Paris Hilton. Omitting not just the transvestite-beating incident, but his entire history of legal troubles (which, together with his various other failings -- infidelity, etc. -- have largely defined much of the man's life) to me borders on hagiography. In the News

why no mention of the whole transvestite hooker thing? Or any mention of his difficult childhood, his struggles with being an 'ex teen star.' There is so much rich information on Danny. He is very outspoken and keeps very few secrets.

Well his autobiography is a source of material for this, but perhaps it is not necessary. He has a very moving and believable account of his descent into drug addiction, and his struggles to escape it (including chaining himself to a hotel bed so he'd be good to go for a morning radio interview). How his wife contributed to his recovery, and his rather amusing story of the transvestite hooker are also recounted in this bio, but does this sort of thing belong in a brief encyclopedia entry about a "C list" television star (his own description of himself)? Maybe, maybe not. Anyone who cares to know more about his life can get his autobiography from the library. CharlesKiddell 19:53, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

Better Picture

Can we get a better picture, even if its a different still? It might be good to have him currently and his Partridge Family days photo as well.--Twintone 20:34, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

Religeous Beliefs

I removed the part that says Danny is less religeous than his brother John, This is because I am listening (at this moment) to the Glenn Beck program. Glenn is interviewing Danny Bonaduce and His wife Gretchen on the radio. Danny and Gretchen have been talking about involvent in their local chuch and discussions with his pastor. For refrence check the Glenn Beck audio archives at a later time (Subscription required). ---CamperStrike

Bonaduce's Inimitable Response to a Conspiracy Theorist

From Steve H. Graham of HogOnIce:

I didn't realize until this week that Danny Bonaduce was the finest human being on the planet. I'm not saying that simply because he appeared on Youtube [2], laying the smackdown on a conspiracy moron, with skill very few trial lawyers could equal ...

The sad thing no one mentions about the Youtube incident is that Danny did to his career what 911 conspiracy assheads do to the truth. He didn't do himself any favors by slapping down that tin foil purveying doofus. Oh sure, he got publicity. As a PATRIOT. You think that's going to make him popular in Hollywood? Wrong.

Fox needs to offer this guy a radio show NOW. He stood up for the US, and he's going to suffer for it unless someone outside the establishment steps in and helps. Give him a show, Fox. -[3] Steve H. Graham, HogOnIce

Yeah, he stood up for the US all right. because one right wing conspiracy theorist has a different opinion on a controversial day. And way to point out that "the establishment" is left wing. of course. you're an idiot. And Hollywood hates patriots? Funny, I just thought they hated ignorant dumb rednecks. But hey good luck pitching your show.

Bio Photo

I've sent a request -- based on the standard req's provided here on WikiP -- to Bonaduce's camp for approval. I listen to him with some regularity on The Adam Carolla Show, and he talks very openly with his fans on that show who contact him by the same method I have.

Also, I made a lot of changes today in pursuit of good WP:BLP because I think this article is very thorough and has great potential, but bears the fatal flaw that it has NO cites. And unlike many BLP's, cites should be relatively easy to come by because Bonaduce is very forthcoming in interviews, on his television and radio shows, and most likely in his autobiography (I've heard him discuss it but I haven't read it -- maybe needless to say, but even though it's a "primary source", much to Wikipedia's pleasure, it will support many claims that other celeb's would never cop to.

I welcome discussion. I really think this article has the foundation of a great one -- it just needs to overcome the hurdle of CITEs.

Cheers.

Anyone in the know want to comment on why a photo was put in place and then removed? It would be nice to know what happened. -- ManfrenjenStJohn 22:31, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

CBS BIo on DB, Several potential CITEs

Here's a current bio on DB from CBS radio ("FreeFM"). I believe several assertions in the article can be attributed to this page as source:

blind date

I removed the blind date resulting in marrige in the seventh hour. But I was confused by http://podcast.adam.freefm.com/carr/416289.mp3 we should have a source if we put that back in, however. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Claytonian (talkcontribs) 09:31, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

Vandalism

I recommend that this page be restricted to registered Wikipedia editors. I spent quite a bit of time restoring content after malicious vandalism by unknown user with IP 75.39.254.255. I recommend that this IP be blocked from all further Wikipedia editing. Freedom Fan (talk) 03:37, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

Plagiarism?

This article uses much of the same verbiage as a bio on Bonaduce's own web site: http://www.dannybonaduce.net/?q=node/9 -- Someone is plagiarizing someone. I suppose it is possible that Bonaduce's people ripped the Wikipedia article. However, it is more likely to be the other way around given that the Wikipedia article includes some material verbatim which dealing with events which no one but Bonaduce (and the other particpants) would care about: for example, the boxing matches against Donny Osmond and Barry Williams. (This does not apply to the edits I made: they may not be all that great, but I did write them myself) Timothy Horrigan (talk) 06:52, 7 August 2009 (UTC)

Danny Bonaduce Ordination

Note someone switched Danny Bonaduce's source for ordination from the Universal Life Church World Headquarters to Universal Life Church Monastery, the citation makes no mention the ULC Monastery, Bonaduce indicates on Facebook, Google+, Twitter and in several articles hew was ordained the Universal Life Church, not the Universal Life Church Monastery. This is an attempt by The Monastery to falsely claim credit when it clearly did not ordain Bonaduce ULC Monastery their own blogs, not a 3rd party. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.22.25.67 (talk) 17:12, 25 October 2012 (UTC) Stmichael1060 (talk) 17:39, 25 October 2012 (UTC)

Note: The ULC Monastery uses ulc.org for their blogs, not only can they not use blogs to cite on Wikipedia. You will note on their webpage ulc.org, their Monastery Logo in the lower right hand corner. You will see references to the Monastery throughout the page. The Monastery purposely deceives others into thinking they are the Universal Life Church, but they are not affiliated with the Universal Life Church or the Universal Life Church world Headquarters.173.22.25.67 (talk) 17:35, 25 October 2012 (UTC)Stmichael1060 (talk) 17:38, 25 October 2012 (UTC)

Ordination confusion.

Ordinance?? Why is this information pertinent? I researched this claim, and it looks like 4 different websites, ULC.org, TheMonastery.org, ULC world headquarters, and ULC seminary all claim they ordained Mr. Danny. Since this is a very low priority, and it looks like this portion has devolved into link farming, I will remove this portion of the article until Stmichael1060 (Likely the owner of the ULC world headquarters, Michael Cauley) can provide a reputable source for this...rather unnecessary portion of Danny Bonaduce's page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jimmydeandean (talkcontribs) 20:56, 4 March 2013 (UTC)

Countess and Count

Why do Bonaduce's children have aristocratic titles? I assume it means either he or his wife have a title (which should be reflected in the way either is named in the article - since the wife's name redirects here). 62.136.233.71 13:48, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

From what I can gather from some web searches, those are their actual legal first names, not titles. The article should probably be updated to reflect this - PxT 17:35, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
