Untitled[edit]

To skandaliczny biogram. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.160.234.129 (talk) 14:42, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Controversial Past[edit]

I changed the wording a bit since the one used made this info a bit too controversial and could lead to possible legal action. Nirrod 12:53, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Agent "Zebra"?[edit]

I have removed the following sentence:

Until 1989 he was a secret communist agent "Zebra" and got money for finking.

I did not find any information supporting this claim. Statement like this (if it is true) has to be supported by giving a trustworthy source. Stotr 07:52, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Seems to have been unnoticed vandalism from 1 June 2006. Good catch. -- Jonel | Speak 12:04, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Communist spy?[edit]

The Polish version of this page has been the subject of an edit war, over the question of whether he had been working as a spy for the communist government. Today the Polish page was protected.

Two of of the IP addresses involved in the war,

have also edited the English page recently.

The discussion in the Polish wikipedia mentioned an article in the conservative newspaper Dziennik, dated April 18, 2007. The article reports that (according to a recent edition of Polish Television's program "misja specjalna") Passent has worked as a spy under the codename "Daniel", and later "John".

However, the most recent article about Passent that I could find at TVP's website was from January 2007. It does not claim that Passent was a spy.

I don't think that such poorly supported informations should be a part of an article about a person that still lives as they could be potentially harmful. Currently there is no way for mr. Passent to disprove the accusations. This way everything can be said about everyone.

Also, Dziennik only reports something that was in "Misja specjalna" Polish Television's program, so it is not a primary source of the information.
