Although Noyd served in the United States military during the Vietnam War, no reliable sources found as of yet state that he served in Vietnam during the war. Accordingly, Category:American military personnel of the Vietnam War was removed from the article. Semper Fi! FieldMarine (talk) 12:17, 7 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Since Noyd actively had a role in protesting the Vietnam War by not training a pilot, the category Category:American anti–Vietnam War activists seems more appropriate than Category:American conscientious objectors.
