Hey!

Your page is very well organized. I like the figure for the coupling reaction. Although you include this, maybe you can include a picture of DMTMM in the introduction. You could add a subsection about commercial uses. If I remember correctly, you mentioned pharmaceuticals in your literature review which was interesting. Other than that, if you can expand amides and other carboxylic derivatives in a way that would be understood by the general public, that may be interesting. Everything seems to be cited and a wealth of information is summarized nice and concisely. Akhamhoung (talk) 20:44, 2 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This is very well written and neutral. The organization flows nicely and I really like the introduction that prepares the reader for the rest of the article. The only thing I would suggest looking at is the citations in the intro; it is completely up to your discretion, but do you have a source for the statements, such as when you say that DMTMM mechanism is similar to other amide coupling reactions? It might be helpful to give a source that shows the other amide coupling reactions. When you also say that amide coupling is one of the most common reactions...those are both broad claims that it might be worthy to have citations to back up. If it is common knowledge, then don't worry about it. Otherwise, the sources you have used look great and it is structured nicely. --Kaw66 (talk) 13:19, 4 August 2017 (UTC)Kaw66[reply]

Added a picture of DMTMM in the chembox, which I also added. It's basically a summary of chemical info common to molecule wikipedia pages. I don't think the specifics about what carboxylic derivatives can be summarized in a way that is interesting to the public so I won't add anything like that. I will look into commercial applications but offhand I don't know any pharmaceutical syntheses that use DMTMM. I also added a citation for the coupling mechanism similarity. Thank you both for your comments. Cacioppo.j (talk) 03:23, 7 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
