Okay, but what is the significance of the CMC? What happens when the CMC is reached?

Yes, this needs a WAY better intro. Please add if you can ike9898 23:15, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This article could benefit from having a table with critical micelle concentrations for different common surfactants. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 18.4.1.145 (talk) 21:26, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"...Therefore, CMC depends on the method of measuring the samples, since a and b depend on the properties of the solution such as conductance and photochemical characteristics". Well, I'm a chemistry student and I don't get how the formula (which could be written in the formula-maker) describes the cmc. What is C (yeah, I know its equal to CMC), but is it the same as Ct? And how do the formula originate and how do you use it? Is the "["'s the actual concentration of the momomer/micelles? 77.212.171.42 (talk) 09:16, 11 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
