As for going forward with this article, it is best to often research different types of media to determine if there is any new information. Unfortunately, there are not many recent articles with new contributions. However, once there are new articles, photos and videos, they can be added to this page. Schmidt Ocean Institute Instagram page (schmidtocean) posted a video on June 19th, 2023 with a caption explaining some possible information about C. scabra. The caption explains the possibility of chromatophores, possible predator escape adaptations, and more about its morphology. It would be beneficial to monitor if Schmidt and associated researchers publish research on the species to add to this article.
