What is a reference electrode of "the first kind"? The article on reference electrodes does not seem to use this classification of reference electrodes. 150.227.15.253 (talk) 09:54, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Applications[edit]

While a copper reference electrode might find use in a copper coulometer the copper coulometer is hardly an application of the copper reference electrode even though they both use copper electrodes and perhaps similar electrolytes. Coulometers are current or rather charge measuring devices while current loads to reference electrodes should typically be kept to a minimum.150.227.15.253 (talk) 10:01, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
