History

Given the locale, it seems very likely that the shoe company that Marquise Converse managed was Boston Rubber Shoe, started by Elisha S. Converse, and that's a very important tie-in if it is true. I will try to find a source. MSJapan (talk) 21:05, 22 June 2016 (UTC)

I agree — this should be developed. It's a strength of the wiki approach, and would help flesh out the company/brand history. rags (talk) 00:34, 18 May 2018 (UTC)

Skate mkt

Paragraph 3: I changed this, and I may have unintentionally confused things. A run-on sentence spliced by an em-dash is confusing enough. I do respect skate culture, particularly for being iconoclastic and somewhat freeform. That said, we are writing an encyclopedia, and a sentence with two predicates and many subjects is almost stream-of-conciousness, and won't serve.

Paragraph 4: I just made the verb tenses agree. Written as if news, but 4 years old, now, so needs updated, if not deleted.
