New species[edit]

Contradiction?[edit]

Due to its low number, after an IUCN audit it will be considered critically endangered if it is ruled as a new species and not a subsecies or variant.--Mike - Μολὼν λαβέ 20:22, 7 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No Scientific Name Yet[edit]

The name of this article is misleading. Pink iguanas have not been formerly named, and when they are, they almost certainly won't be Conolophus rosada because combining a feminine species name with a masculine genus name violates the nomenclature rules.
