Mr. Robert Lee Johnson is my great grandfather. He was born Feb. 13, 1919, not 1920. He passed August of 1978 not 1979. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.206.82.26 (talk) 00:20, 24 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

clover forest plantation Columbia/Goochland VA[edit]

The article contains incorrect names, dates and information. It has been corrected here as follows:

Robert Lee Johnson married Ruby Jeanette Bryant. They were high school sweethearts and he absolutely adored her as she did him. They had 4 children Peggy "Jeanie" Johnson (Luck), Barbara Johnson (Tipton), Sonny Johnson, and June Johnson (Pleasants). They had many, many, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Robert and Ruby (better known to their grandchildren as Papa & BeBe) raised a hardworking, loving family and every one of their grandchildren's best and most fondest childhood memories are on that farm. They remained strong and lovingly married until Roberts death from a heart attack in August of 1978. Ruby loved her husband so dearly she never remarried. She moved to a home in Cartersville across the street from the old Hamilton High School her children had attended when they were young. She lived the rest of her years surrounded by her adoring family. She passed in Aug. 1998 at the age of 7

While they sound like wonderful people, this content needs to be cited to Reliable Sources, just as other facts are, or it can be deleted. The article about the plantation is overfull of material about the people who lived there and the history of the Revolutionary regiment in which Pemberton served. All the personal material does not make the article stronger. There is way too much about Thomas Pemberton's military career and family. If someone thinks he is notable, they should write an article about him, rather than attach everything to this. Readers of this article may be more interested in learning about Clover Forest as an operating plantation: volume of commodity crops, the number of slaves held by owners in the antebellum years, what happened to the operations after the Civil War, and similar material about the plantation, rather than about people's marriages.Parkwells (talk) 20:55, 12 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Problem with the lede[edit]

In the current version of this article, the lede is not a summary of the article body. The body text discusses a historic home, architecture, a plantation, and family (and it is not exclusively about a bed and breakfast or wedding event venue, or random geographic features). Possible issues with advertising, or COI editors; adding a note here in case of future issues. PigeonChickenFish (talk) 08:10, 15 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
