Long intro paragraph added by anonymous editor[edit]

The intro paragraph added with this anonymous edit lacks formatting and sources, and another editor already added the citation note. The last paragraph in the intro I believe is plagiarized from another website and slightly reworded, e.g. "steering wheel-mounted controls" to "steering wheel mounted items" etc. (source website, ctrl+f "faulty clock spring").

I couldn't find conclusive evidence on the rest, but it has distinct phrases like "The advent of air bags" and "contained in a plastic housing", if you search for those in combination with "clock spring" you find some articles and forums about what a clock spring is.
