Inappropriate creation of a special page by WP[edit]

I just had something happen that has never happened to me on WP before. Right in the middle of my English usage reasons for a change WP broke my session and put me on a special page even though I am still logged in, claiming I waited too long. Previously it has never mattered how much time went by provided you still stayed logged in. I smell something fishy here but I suppose it could be a bug or a result of some programming change. Anyway, the point is, "indexing" is not a used substitute for "index," it only means the process of creating an index.I know there is an analogy with words such as ceiling, but that is not the same -ing used to manufacture the present participle. One could claim an obvious innovation of an English word, as often happens in real live English, but in this case it is confusing. Good old-fashioned "index" is quite clear, "indexing" is not. I had to take a minute to figure it out. Ciao. The person on the strange special page is me, Botteville (talk) 05:09, 29 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
