Continuing rewite of this article. Someone translated and added barely encyclopedic text from an early version of the ro: article on Romanian cinema into the text, and I've occasionally chipped away at the text and made it more enyclopedic. This is one of the sentences that I consider unencyclopedic: "Often heroic and full of candor, impressive for its enthusiasm for what film as a bold and modern art could achieve, in its potential to reach an international dialogue." Communist takeover

This doesn't belong in the lead, who the fuck put it there and why was it there for so long:

"Only when the state realized that it possessed a powerful medium for influence and propaganda among the ranks of the masses did it help and fully promote the cinema."

This is an article about Romanian cinema not Romanian cinema under communism, so that sentence shouldn't be there all glaring in the opening paragraphs where someone placed it. All you frickin' editors who are not helping me revise & fix this article, FUCK YOU. Alex contributing from L.A. (talk) 11:39, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
