Student Comments for class[edit]

I am giving feedback to a classmate in my behavior ecology class. I think you did a really great job with this article and I learned a lot about your beetle. Some things I would consider would be to reword some parts of your wikipedia article as they were either confusing or could be further elaborated on. I would also go through and get rid of all of the quotation marks you have in this article and instead, replace it by paraphrasing the information and adding more from the source. — Preceding unsigned comment added by VedantW (talkcontribs) 04:06, 12 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

General Comments[edit]

This article is a great start, and it gave strong introductory information to this beetle. I found the information on stilting and body regulation behavior to be particularly interesting. The article mentions that the tiger beetle can either favor solitude or gregarious social behavior. I was wondering what determines social behavior for this beetle and whether there are specific factors that dictate whether a beetle will be more solitary or social. Comment[edit]

Overall, I only made a few small rearrangements of the sections to further organize the information presented in this entry. I made a section titled "Physiology." I then moved the section on the eyes of this beetle under the "Physiology section." I also changed the header for "Body Temperature Regulation" to "Thermoregulation." I then made the section entitled, "Stilting" into a subcategory of the "Thermoregulation" category to further organize the entry. Gbuml (talk) 00:50, 11 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
