First dictionary[edit]

The first dictionary in 2022 claim is, well, disputed. SCMP's 2024 video (uses a lot of Oct 2023 AFP footage) at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0dtTBDEXVYY, at the 1:14 timestamp, claims that Abidin has written a dictionary in 2017. The title in Latin script is "kamus bahasa ciacia laporo - indonesia - korea". If the "- Korea" part is true, it wouldn't even be the first Korean-CiaCia dictionary.

(PS. The lack of ISBN numbers really irks me for all the books [textbooks, dictionaries] mentioned. "바하사 찌아찌아 1(한국어번역본)" has ISBN 9788997182008, but that's the Korean translation of Bahasa Cia-cia 1. Where's the original version's ISBN?) -- Artoria2e5 🌉 11:06, 15 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Artoria2e5: There is a printed, but not publicly distributed "Edisi Percobaan" (Test edition) of Abidin's dictionary from 2015 with a foreword by the bupati of Buton Selatan (see also here[1] on page 2). So the 2020 dictionary is not the first one, but most probably the first published one.
Btw, the article (but eventually, also all those non-specialist sources) suffers from giving the wrong impression that the situation in the city of Baubau is representative for the whole Cia-Cia speech area, which has a wider geographic scope. –Austronesier (talk) 21:14, 15 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
