Exceptional claims[edit]

@Eym174:, @Baatarsaikan:, @Ashurbanippal: Recently editor user:Blaue Max attempts to insert a new section, which at first i took as an unfortunate beginner's edit, but it looks more and more a deliberate attempt to put here some political agenda, with no WP:BRD process. It is also seems a synthesis and making of an exceptional claim (exceptional claims require very good sources) that Israeli Christians are "persecuted", and very poor sources are used for that. Also the descriptions are of some problematic issues (anti-Christian sentiments, certainly not a persecution) mainly on behalf of Palestinian Christians, who are of course not the same as Israeli Christians. I'm issuing a warning for this user and call him to engage in discussion prior to re-inserting the section again. Further edit-warring may result in blocking and possible topic sanctions.GreyShark (dibra) 18:46, 27 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

User Baatarsaikan is a banned editor, Eym174 was his sock puppet and Ashurbanippal is probably is new one. The one with an agenda is not the one you think. Please, read WP:GOODFAITH, before making such comments. Una McGahern is a reliable source and the occurence of the spittings and vandalisms against Clergymen/Palestinian Christians is well documented by reliable source Haaretz, The Jerusalem Post, The Guardian, etc.). Removing well documented information with no valid reason is just vandalism, so please stop it, unless you have contradictory sources. Blaue Max (talk) 19:53, 27 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Even if you source all those things (which still has nothing to do with persecution), why do you put this here and not at Palestinian Christians article? Palestinian Christians are not the same as Israeli Christians.GreyShark (dibra) 20:16, 27 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The persecutions we're talking about take place in Jerusalem and in the rest of Israel, so it's suitable to add this kind of information in this article. It is also suitable to speak about persecutions as it appears to be unilateral attacks from a religious majority against a religious minority, unless you have source that shows recurring Christian violence against the Jewish majority... I notice that you've restored your version without valid arguments and before the end of the discussion on the talk page which is uncivil and contrary to Wikipedia's rules. I didn't look at the whole text involved here, but I do know that there is nothing exceptional about the spitting claims. Israel newspapers have been reporting on this practice over and over for decades, there have been court cases, and even the ADL has seen fit to pronounce on it. It obviously should be mentioned. I edited the part about the spitting and defacement to be more accurate. Before, it sounded as if ALL ultra-orthodox Jews and ALL churches and cemeteries have been defaced. That is, of course, not the case. Therefore, I have added the word "some" in the begining of the sentence as well as "there have been cases" in the following sentence. About repeated reverting[edit]

By users OrMongain (talk · contribs) and 60.68.92.227 (talk · contribs) (these two may be the same person), my edits have been reverted twice, but it is not an original research. That is the maps I made based on the existing map, and the Hebrew and Arabic notations filled in with reference to Wiktionary. WHY do you revert? If you have any opinions, please write them on this page, then edit after discussion and consensus building.
