Template Errors

I'm getting this ugly error smack dab on the top of the article:

Error creating thumbnail: convert: unable to open image `/mnt/upload3/wikipedia/en/c/cd/Humanism.png': No such file or directory. convert: unable to open file `/mnt/upload3/wikipedia/en/c/cd/Humanism.png'. convert: missing an image filename `/mnt/upload3/wikipedia/en/thumb/c/cd/Humanism.png/50px-Humanism.png'.

confusion

There seems to be a confusion between the definition at the beginning, and the use of humanism later on. T S Eliot, though a great poet - was he really a humanist, since he was such an outspoken antisemite ? 86.196.255.39 13:37, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

Categorization

I really think there ought to be a strong distinction made between the idea of Christian Humanism and the Secular Humanism. They both have the word "humanism" in them, but they are really quite different points of view. Basically, the "Happy Human" of the IHEU has no place on the article. I agree that as a symbol it is one that seems specific to "secular" humanist organisations, I am not aware of christian humanists having any particular symbol associated with them. If possible, to avoid confusion it would be better removed from this article if no one objects, while at the same time keeping Christian Humanism as part of the philosophy/humanism series. —Preceding unsigned comment added by DMSBel (talk • contribs) 19:10, 3 February 2010 (UTC)

The symbol is part of Template:Humanism. This article is properly within the scope of that navigation aid, so the template should not be removed from this article. If the issue is whether the Happy Human is an appropriate symbol for that box and all the articles within it, that's a subject best taken up at Template talk:Humanism. —C.Fred (talk) 03:51, 1 April 2010 (UTC)

Bonhoeffer?

Would anyone else think it appropriate to include Dietrich Bonhoeffer in the list of influential Christian humanists? I'm thinking yes, but I'd want opinions. Thanks!

New stuff goes at the bottom. I can't find any reason not to include him, I won't remove it, but I'm not completely convinced that he was a humanist (humanitarian, yes). Ian.thomson (talk) 23:35, 18 April 2010 (UTC)

Re: Prominent Christian humanists list

On 14 March 2014, some comments were added to the text of the already non-sourced Prominent Christian humanists section by User:80.3.184.132 to three entries, suggesting consideration of their removal as follows:

• Tony Campolo-(consider removal as his page says he is a Baptist)
• G. K. Chesterton - (consider removal as he is actually a Catholic)
• John Paul II-(consider removal as his page says he is a Catholic)

I will not comment on the question of whether these entries should stay or be removed; but in any case, such meta-comments belong here on the talk page, not on the article itself. So here they are for posterity and for discussion. --Tim Parenti (talk) 16:25, 17 March 2014 (UTC)
