Punjabi word for thief?[edit]

Chore is a Punjabi word for thief. The word originates from the Mugul Empire and is still widly used in the small district of Jhelum in Pakistan. The word has recently been adapted by "Chavs" in Chatham, England to mean "Stole" and has claimed to have been created by a young professional Pakistani cricketer called Zahid Hussain. This word is now seen in the Punjabi world as a rude and disgusting word to be said to any person. -- Zondor 9 July 2005 09:05 (UTC)
