The most inconsistently romanised words I know of is the surname 欧阳, which is written as Ouyang, O'Young, Owyang, Au Yong, Auyong, Au Yeung. My chinese teacher told us that within his immediate family, there are three different romanised surnames of 欧阳, thanks to those birth registration officers in pre-independence days. --Vsion 11:23, 5 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
