Vandalism[edit]

Two sentences in this article stand a good chance of being vandalism.

"Also used as a condom in rough anal sex." It's not clear why an open fabric would be a condom. The use of the word "rough" here suggests malicious intent, since there would be no reason to distinguish between one kind and another in this context. Also, it would seem that anything could be used for anal sex, and that cheesecloth has no special properties to the effect.

"Cheesecloth is also useful for handheld torches and flaming arrows, because its porousness allows kerosene to stay lit even in high wind." Similarly, it's unlikely that one particular fabric is most suitable for torches and arrows. And the justification that it's best for kerosene (which would not have been available for historical uses) seems fatuous.

Hence, these sentences are removed.

Cheesecloth vs muslin[edit]

What's the difference between cheesecloth and muslin? Is cheesecloth simply a special kind of muslin? Nil Einne (talk) 10:55, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

(they're the same thing in the UK - perhaps the articles should be merged) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.41.235.210 (talk) 14:01, 20 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
