Redundant note about the main article[edit]

Why is it necessary to state "(See Charles Sanders Peirce for the main discussion of Peirce.)" in the lead? The hat note already tells the reader to go there and there is already a link to that page in the lead sentence. It's overkill. Joja lozzo 02:35, 19 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It's overkill only for people already well enough acquainted with Peirce. These articles' audience is much wider than that. Many may simply miss the link in the lead sentence, not to mention the link's implication, especially given how atypical this article and its title are in terms of their relation to the main article on the same person. A bit of explicit direction in an unusual situation is reasonable help to the general audience. The hat note won't remain there forever. The Tetrast (talk) 04:55, 19 April 2012 (UTC). Edited. Meaning of name 'Santiago'[edit]

The Wikipedia article for 'Santiago' says that

The name Santiago is the local Galician evolution of Vulgar Latin Sanctu Iacobu, "Saint James".

A recent (7/28/2015) edit claims that it means 'Saint Jack'.
