External Link/NPOV[edit]

I find it a little odd that the only external link refers to what appears to be a "cult watch" site, featuring information that would be damaging to Meade's ministry. While it would be simple enough to add an external link to Meade's ministry itself, I have doubts that the subject is notable enough to warrant an article to begin with. Its still fairly new, so I'll give it some time before doing anything else. --Bugwit grunt / scribbles 19:47, 31 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

IS there a link to Meade's ministry? I haven't found one yet. --Ranuel 01:11, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I live in Lake City. I have many run-ins with Meade Ministries. I have first hand knowledge of his teachings. I also personally know many members of the organization.

THE SUBJECT IS WORTH AN ARTICLE CONSIDERING THAT ARTICLES HAVE SHOWN UP IN THE PRESS THROUGHOUT FLORIDA AND ON NATIONAL TELEVISION

still living?[edit]

As far as I can tell... All I can find is blogs and older articles. This one is a year and a half old but talks as if Charles is living. It is the most recent I can find. Sounds like a rather quiet group. --Npnunda (talk) 02:25, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Charles Meade[edit]

Meade Ministry is a cult. I had family members that lived in Lake Jackson, Florida & were members of the church. Charles Meade is only in this for the money & is currently under investigation for tax evasion.

Charles Meade's first wife had cancer & died a slow and painful death while her husband watched. There have also been many children that have died due to lack of medical attention.

When are people going to wise up and see this "ministry" for what it is, a full-blown cult. Do we need to see another Jonestown happen before the authorities investigate & start making arrests?

I am ecstatic that my family members left the church & Lake City. Charles Meade is the devil.

But how is this person NOTABLE?[edit]

Simply throwing in biographical facts does not establish notability. There are a few items on the talk page and some intruiging references, but nothing in the article itself. This needs to change if you want to save this article. TechBear (talk) 21:39, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

They should be kept because there has been significant coverage of them in multiple reliable, independent sources, and there is a lot of discussion about them in secondary sources. See Wikipedia:Notability (people)#Basic criteria --Bejnar (talk) 20:53, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notability comment from an IP editor[edit]

How is this notable for WikiPedia? Appears to be more of an agenda then an Encyclopedic style entry. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.106.164.156 (talkcontribs) 05:37, September 3, 2012‎

I have refactored the above comment and provided a generic header, it was originally added as a level 1 section header at the top of the page. Monty845 16:34, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Questionable edits from mobile user Mainpedia[edit]

In these three edits user Mainpedia removes content from the article with the explanation, "Stripped the article of bias commentary or rumor not based on fact" but at the same time, s/he deliberately corrupts legitimate URLs in what appears to be straight-up vandalism. Examples: timesanddemocrat.com becomes timesandemocrat.com, gainesville.com becomes gainesvile.com, rickross.com becomes rickros.com, and so on. This type of pernicious editing will not be tolerated, and will only serve to highlight a POV agenda of editors like Mainpedia. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 05:35, 1 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
